Atomic Turtle - Sunburst

The Sunburst was intended to bring a blast of color to an otherwise beige room. At 86 pieces within it's 2-foot length it is the most complex art glass panel we have ever built. It is also our longest-running project and took over two years to complete. This was due to the fact that we had a house guest in the glass room for a year and because we were distracted by other projects.

I wanted to build something complex and colorful and settled on this sunburst design.
The half-round window that will host the sunburst.
Cutting table. The parts are so small that I have to use the wrench to hold them for breaking.
The glass router. It's water-lubricated and slings water everywhere so I built an enclosure to cut down on the mess.
Very intricate glasswork, at least for me, but it's coming along.
